The 3rd Africa Convention on Social and Economic Wellbeing aims to unlock the potential of cooperative models in Africa by developing innovative strategies to scale up successful initiatives. This involve leveraging new technologies, fostering partnerships between sectors, and building capacity among cooperative members to adapt to changing market conditions and climate-related challenges. The convention, centered on the theme "Cultivating Change: Community-Embedded Platforms for a Sustainable Economic Future", will bring together scholars and practitioners to create a comprehensive knowledge base on the cooperative sector and the social and solidarity economy (SSE) across Africa. The event will provide a platform for dialogue among experts, practitioners, development partners, and policymakers to co-create knowledge that is tailored to the needs of the cooperative sector and ultimately advance the cooperative agenda.
